Another Candidate for The Sword of Constantine Court

The July meeting of The Sword of Constantine Court No.120 was held at the Croydon Masonic Hall on Monday 9th July with the Worshipful Master W.Bro. Chris Eley presiding.

Another Candidate for The Sword of Constantine Court As unfortunately our Senior and Junior Wardens were unable to attend W.Bro. Leslie Grout kindly acted as Senior Warden and our Provincial Grand Master, RW.Bro. Lionel Mee, kindly acted as Junior Warden. A ballot was taken for John Edward James Doherty a member of Loyalty Lodge No 243 and Loyalty Chapter No 243, residing in St Peter Port, Guernsey. This proved in his favour.

The Worshipful Master invited W.Bro. Leslie Grout to perform the Ceremony of Instruction while he took the Office of Senior Warden. Mr John Doherty was Instructed into the Order in an excellent manner by W.Bro. Leslie, ably assisted by the Officers of the Court.

The Worshipful Master warmly welcomed Bro. John into The Sword of Constantine Court and the RW Provincial Grand Master welcomed him into the Order and the Province of Sussex.

Another Candidate for The Sword of Constantine Court Present to witness John’s Instruction into the Order was a friend from Guernsey who had recently been Instructed into another Court in Sussex.

Another Candidate for The Sword of Constantine Court After the meeting the Brethren of The Sword of Constantine Court and their guests sat down to a most enjoyable meal at the Croydon Masonic Hall. After dinner and a few drinks in the bar the two friends made their way back to their hotel in Gatwick to catch an early flight back the Guernsey the next morning.
