The Installation Meeting of the Court was held at the Masonic Hall in Herstmonceux in Sussex on Saturday, 15th July 2017 and was opened by the Presiding Officer W Bro Jeremy Griffin. RW Bro Lionel Mee, Provincial Grand Master was then received and welcomed into the Court on the occasion of his Official Visit for the year; he was accompanied by a number of Provincial Officers.
A Eulogy for W Bro Ren Phillimore, Worshipful Master of the Court, who had sadly died on 22nd May 2017 after a short illness, was given by W Bro Jeremy Griffin after which the brethren stood to honour his memory. Bro Alan Hobden, Master-elect, was Installed as Worshipful Master for the ensuing year by W Bro Jeremy Griffin, and W Bro Alan then appointed and invested the Officers for his Year as Master.
A total of 20 Members and Visitors attended the meeting and 13 later dined at The Bull’s Head for a convivial and enjoyable Festive Board.
The next meeting of the Court will be on Saturday, 14th October 2017.
