Two New Members for Archbishop Æthelhelm Court No 34
The July meeting of the Court was held at the Nutfield Masonic Centre in Redhill on Tuesday, 12th July with 21 brethren in attendance.
The Court was opened by the Worshipful Master W Bro Ian Neve, at 5.00pm who welcomed all members and Visitors to the Meeting. He also greeted RW Bro Lionel Mee, Provincial Grand Master for Sussex who is a member and the current Secretary of the Court. W Bro Mike Ellis, Deputy Provincial Grand Master was also in attendance.
The main business of the evening was to introduce and welcome Bro Brendan Glynn and Bro Osiji Onah into the Order and both brethren being in attendance the ceremony of Instruction was carried out by RW Bro Roy Leavers and the Worshipful Master W Bro Ian Neve. The ceremony was carried out in an excellent manner and both new Brethren later described their delight at being received into the Order in such a wonderful ceremony.
This being the Election Meeting, Bro Leslie Grout was elected Master-elect, and W Bro Steven Cann was elected Treasurer-elect. Both brethren thanked the members for their confidence in electing them to office and stated they were very much looking forward to the challenge of their new duties. The Court was closed at 6.35pm and 21 brethren - which included both the new members - enjoyed a convivial Festive Board when the usual Toast of the order were observed.
The next meeting will be the Installation Meeting and will be held at Nutfield on Thursday, 15th December 2016.
